Our “O is for Ocean” is a book-inspired, digital learning pack thoughtfully created to make learning about ocean life more fun. It is inspired by the one of most loved ocean books for children such as The Big Book of Blue, the Over and Under the Waves and Ocean Anatomy.
It offers the opportunity for your child to choose his favorite titles from the ocean/sea inspired books and then complete the companion unit for that book!
With his 144 pages of fun and hands-on activities, the pack features the ocean floor, the ocean food chain, tide pools creation and tidal zones ecosystem and ocean depth zones. Children can learn about life cycles and body anatomy of different fishes, shellfishes and cetaceans. There is lots of information about the World Oceans and informative pages about turtles and the negative impact of the garbage in the ocean on animal life. The unit contains many fun activities from math to language, writing, phonics, pre-writing activities, games, nature play, a craft (make your own tide pool diorama), coloring pages, a stem project, posters and more, that will delight and engage your children. It is geared towards children aged 3 to 8yo.
